Tofu Love Professional Makeup Sponge - What I Want to Buy in Japan

    I really love Beautyblender and have been using it for five years or so. I apply liquid foundation and concealer and blend it with my Beautyblender to get flawless finish. My makeup doesn't look cakey with using it. :) Even though I really really love Beautyblender, it's the most expensive makeup sponge I've ever purchased. Beautyblender is originally $20 at Sephora.

    A while ago, I found that Tofu Love Professional Makeup Sponge is very popular in Japan, and I would like to purchase it when I visit Japan next time. :)

      Tofu Love Professional Makeup Sponge is a makeup applicator which has been featured as the best makeup sponge in some Japanese beauty magazines. Just like Beautyblender, you can soak the sponge with water and squeeze out excess water. It will expand to about 50% its size. Many Japanese people review that its texture is very unique that is smooth and soft like hanpen (はんぺん) or marshmallow, and it works as well as Beautyblender does.

       Tofu Love Professional Makeup Sponge is very affordable. It's only 410 yen per package, which has two sponges, so one sponge is 205yen which is equivalent to $1.82.  You can purchase one at Loft, Tokyu Hands and some drugstores in Japan. However, it's very popular and often sold out at stores, it's pretty hard to find it in Japan.
