4 Reasons Why I Love Kose Softymo Cleansing Oil

I have been using Kose Softymo Cleansing Oil for many years. As you might know, there are many kinds of oil makeup remover you can choose from at drugstores in Japan. When I was living in Japan, I have tried more than 15 kinds of them. These are lists I only remember that I have used before.

Kose Softymo Deep Cleansing Oil
Kose Softymo White Cleansing Oil
Kose Softymo Speedy Cleansing Oil
・DHC Deep Cleansing Oil
・Shiseido Tiss Deep Off Oil
・Shiseido Perfect Oil
・Muji Mild Oil Cleansing
・Tiss Deep Off Oil
・Biore Perfect Oil
・Kracie Naive Deep Clear Oil
・Hipitch Cleansing Oil
・Ponds Cleansing Oil

I have purchased Kose Softymo Cleansing Oil series more than 20 times because they worked very well with my skins and were very affordable at drugstores in Japan. However, when I found that others were on sale, I tried anything at least one whole bottle. I like oil makeup remover, but not all of them worked same with Kose Softymo. Even after moving to U.S., I always choose Kose Softymo Cleansing Oil based on my experiences. I'm going to share with you the reasons why I love Kose Softymo Cleansing Oil.

My Kose Softymo Deep Cleansing Oil
1. Very Affordable
I admit that DHC Deep Cleansing Oil is also very effective makeup remover. However, DHC is pretty pricey. A 200 ml (6.8 fl oz) bottle of DHC Deep Cleansing Oil is 2500 yen in Japan and $28 in U.S. In contrast, a 230 ml bottle of Kose Softymo Cleansing Oil is usually on sale for 400 yen in Japan and $11 in U.S.

2. Remove all makeup
It really removes all makeup including waterproof mascara and heavy sunscreen at one go. I believe that it will cause skin problems if you don't remove all makeup completely before going to bed. Using oil makeup remover is the most effective way to remove heavy makeup. While some of other makeup removers feel oily or sticky after a rinse, Kose Softymo doesn't. Your face will be so fresh and clean. Here is how to remove makeup with Kose Softymo Cleansing Oil. Take 2 pumps onto your dry palm. Gently smooth over dry face for 20 seconds. Add water and it transforms to a milky. Then, rinse thoroughly. Because oil makeup remover is so effective, you need to moisturize your skin well right after that.

3. Remove dead skin and clogged pores.
Even when I don't wear makeup for days in a row, I use this cleansing oil and massage my face to remove clogged pores at least once a week. Here is how I massage with this oil. Put 3 pumps onto your dry palm. Starting from your nose, gently massage onto your dry face in circular motions for 3 minutes or so. You will notice pore cloggers on your fingers. Add water and it transforms to a milky and rinse thoroughly. Even though it doesn't remove all the stubborn pore cloggers perfectly, it minimizes the appearance of your pores. Your skin will be so soft and smooth.

4. Product of Kose
Kose is venerable company which founded in 1948, and it has been one of the largest cosmetic companies in Japan. Indeed, top three Japanese cosmetic companies are Shiseido, Kanebo and Kose, which take the largest market share of beauty products in Japan.

By the way, there are some kinds of Kose Softymo Cleansing Oil, such as White, Speedy, and Deep. In my experience, all of them work same to me. I didn't notice any whitening effects with using White Cleansing Oil. Even though Speedy Cleansing Oil can be used with wet hands, it works better with dry hands. If you don't know which one you should choose, I recommend you to try the cheapest one. :)
