Daiso Silicone Garlic Peeler - Does It Really Work?

Daiso Silicone Garlic Peeler
As I mentioned in my previous entry, 5 Products I Purchased at Daiso in the U.S. - Daiso Haul, I purchased this Daiso Silicone Garlic Peeler at my local Daiso because I had seen this product on Japanese TV show and also found that many Japanese people left positive reviews on this product.
Daiso Silicone Garlic Peeler

Daiso Silicone Garlic Peeler
It's made of silicone rubber. I also found that many companies are making silicone garlic peelers including OXO Good Grips Silicone Garlic Peeler, but I guess that Daiso one is the cheapest since it was only $1.50! (If you purchase this one in Japan, it's only 100 yen, which is equivalent to 91 cents now.)
Daiso Silicone Garlic Peeler
 How to Use
1.Break garlic apart, cut off the bottom and put in peeler.
2. Push down from above and roll.

I'll show you if it really works. ;)

Insert garlic cloves into the silicone garlic peeler, and roll it back and forth on the countertop.

It really worked! My countertop was a bit messy after I used it, but it's easy to clean up. If you want to peel more than two garlic cloves, it's really worth using it. :) My husband loves this garlic peeler. He said that this was the best Daiso product we have ever purchased! Although my most favorite Daiso product is still Daiso Detergent Cleaning for Markup Brushes. ;)

5 Products I Purchased at Daiso in the U.S. - Daiso Haul

I think that most people will love Daiso, which is 100 yen store. You can buy almost any products for just 100 yen at Daiso in Japan. In the U.S., Daiso sells most their products for $1.50. As you might know, many of their products are worth more than price you pay. If you have never visited Daiso, you should go there. In Japan there are over 3,000 Daiso branches. In addition, Daiso has 1,992 branches in 26 countries outside Japan. There are also many Daiso branches in the U.S. especially in California.

Last week, I went to my local Daiso to get Daiso Milk Frother, but I couldn't find one there. Maybe, it's selling in Japan only. Some of their popular products can be only found in Japan such as my favorite Daiso Detergent Cleaning for Markup Brushes. Anyway, I went to Daiso for just a milk frother, but I ended up purchasing more products. I'm going to share what I purchased at Daiso in the U.S. with you. ;)

1. Daiso Melamine Sponges 30 Pieces (Magic Eraser)
Daiso Melamine Sponge (Magic Eraser)
As I mentioned in my previous entry, Top 10 Products You Should Buy at Daiso, Daiso magic eraser sponges are very good deal. This 30-piece magic eraser was only $1.50! I watched Japanese TV show which says their magic erasers are always the best selling Daiso products in Japan! I regularly use this one to clean sinks, cooktop and so on.

2. Daiso Coffee Filters 90 Filters

This Daiso Coffee Filter which contains 90 filters was only $1.50! It's pretty hard to find good coffee filters with this price in the U.S.! Moreover, this one is made in Japan which means that its quality is good! :)

3. Daiso Silicone Whisk
Daiso Silicone Whisk
I just wanted a silicon whisk. :) It was only $1.50! The reason why I love Daiso is that they have plenty of useful kitchen gadgets. ;)

4. Daiso Silicone Garlic Peeler

I purchased this Daiso Silicone Garlic Peeler for $1.50. I saw this one on Japanese TV shows and many Japanese bloggers review on this product.

I love garlic but am not good at peeling garlic. I hope that it will make peeling garlic easier for me. I will review on this product in my future entry. ;)

5.  Daiso Egg Cooking Timer

I also found that many Japanese bloggers recommend this Daiso Egg Cooking Timer, which is also $1.50. Obviously, I can cook boiled eggs without this one, but it will be probably useful for me. I will try this one and review on it in my future entry. :)

Daiso Haul - Daiso Soap Net Bag

This weekend, I went to my local Daiso and found this one, Daiso Soap Net Bag (ダイソーせっけん泡立てポーチ).
Daiso Soap Net Bag (ダイソーせっけん泡立てポーチ)
When I found it at my local Daiso, I though I should buy one! This one includes two bags. You might think, "What it's for?" This is just small bags for bar of soap. With using these bags, you can use every bit of soap.

I put my leftover pieces of soap in the bag.

It worked really well! You don't have to throw away leftover soap anymore. ;)
Daiso Soap Net Bag (ダイソーせっけん泡立てポーチ)

You can hang it over a faucet like its packaging shows. :)  When I was a child in Japan, my school actually had this kind of soap net bags hanging over each faucet, so children could wash their hands with the bar of soap thoroughly. Moreover, children never drop it or waste any bit of soap. ;)

Review on 2 Best Daiso Japan Products, Tube Squeezer and Lint Remover

I think that everyone loves Daiso!

Daiso is the largest franchise of 100 yen shop in Japan. They sell most products for 100 yen in Japan and $1.50 in the U.S. (Now, Daiso has so many branches in 26 countries.) As you might know, many of their products are worth more than price you pay. :)

In my Daiso entries, I shared many best Daiso products with you. You can check out these entries for highly rated Daiso products.

Today, I'm going to share my reviews on two best Daiso products with you. These products have so many positive reviews in Japan. As I mentioned before, some of Daiso products can be found in Japan only such as my favorite Daiso Detergent Cleaning for Markup Puff and Sponge. Compared to Daiso branches in Japan, US branches don't carry a wide selection of products. However, I purchased these Daiso products in the U.S., so you can probably find these at your local Daiso whether you are in Japan or not. :)

1. Daiso Tube Squeezer (チューブ絞り)
Last year, I purchased Daiso Tube Squeezer for my first time because I saw this product on Japanese TV show. They showed top 10 Daiso products which were chosen by 300 staffs of Daiso Japan.

Daiso Tube Squeezer

As I mentioned in my previous entry, you can use up every last toothpaste with this Tube Squeezer. It also work for wasabi tube, beauty cream tube and etc.

I finally used up my toothpaste!

I removed the Tube Squeezer from it and was surprised at how perfectly it worked! I really love Daiso Tube Squeezer!

2. Daiso Lint Remover (ダイソーくるくる毛玉取り)
I found that this Daiso Lint Remover has been one of the most talked about Daiso products in Japan.
Daiso Lint Remover

You need two batteries to use Daiso Lint Remover.
You need two batteries (AA, 単3形) to use Daiso lint remover.
It doesn't include batteries (AA, 単3), but can you believe that the lint remover is only $1.50 at Daiso in the U.S.? It's only 100 yen in Japan!

I used it for my sweater.

      It worked pretty well. :)
After

Then, I also used it for my hoodies.
Before

I was very surprised that it worked super well!  :)))
After

I am really satisfied with my purchase! I cannot still believe that it was only $1.50!

Daiso Haul - Tube Squeezer That I've Seen on Japanese TV Show

This weekend, my husband and I went to Daiso and purchased magic eraser sponges, tube squeezer and etc. As I mentioned in my previous entry, Top 10 Products You Should Buy at Daiso, I think that magic eraser sponges are very inexpensive at Daiso. It is not easy to find these at this price at any other store. In addition to the sponges, I purchased Tube Squeezer for my first time because I saw this product on Japanese TV show. They showed top 10 Daiso products which were chosen by 300 staffs of Daiso Japan, and I wanted to try some of them. I also found a few items I've seen on TV there. Since Daiso branches in the U.S. don't carry as many products as ones in Japan do, I was glad that I could find it. (For instance, I still cannot find Daiso Detergent Cleaning for Markup Puff and Sponge, so I always buy one when I visit Japan. )

You can use up every last toothpaste with this Tube Squeezer. It also work for wasabi tube, beauty cream tube and etc.

I used this Tube Squeezer for my Colgate toothpaste. It works great so far. :)

It includes the suction hook, so you can hang a toothpaste tube (up to 300g).

I used to believe that cheap suction hook usually doesn't work great, but this one works way better than I expected. However, I don't use the hook because I prefer to hide toothpaste in drawer or cabinet rather than to display it.

Traditional Japanese Porcelain Wares at Daiso

Daiso sells many Japanese dishes at very reasonable prices. Many of dishes at Daiso are made oversea because dishes made in Japan are not cheap. However, Daiso have some famous Japanese porcelain wares, Mino Yaki (美濃焼) and Arita Yaki (有田焼). When I first found that Daiso has these famous traditional Japanese dishes a few years ago, I was pretty surprised about that because Mino Yaki and Arita Yaki are known as pretty high-end porcelain wares in Japan.

If you are planning on purchasing some dishes at Daiso, check the label if it are made in Japan.
