Online Shopping Tip - How Much Have I Received with Using Rakuten (Ebates), TopCashback and Ibotta?

       When I purchase something online, I always compare Rakuten (Ebates), TopCashback and Ibotta, and I use whichever higher cashback offers.

       Today, I decided to purchase some items from Macy's. Before placing my order, I quickly checked Rakuten (Ebates), TopCashback and Ibotta. Today, Rakuten (Ebates) was offering 3% cashback from Macy's purchase, and TopCashback was offering 8% cashback from it. Ibotta wasn't offering any cashback for Macy's purchase. Thus, I decided to purchase my items through Topcashback. I clicked the Macy's link which listed on TopCashback. Then I placed my order. I'll earn 8% cashback from today's purchase.  :)

      It's been years, since I used online shopping portal sites such as Rakuten (Ebates), and I really love them. It’s always worth taking the extra seconds to sign in and click through for my online shopping. It's because I've received cashback from my online shopping indeed.

      Using online shopping portals have been getting more and more popular, and I think many of my readers have already used those to get extra cashback. If you haven't used any shopping portals, you might want to try it for this holiday shopping.  Today, I'm going to share with you how much money I've received from Rakuten (Ebates), TopCashback and Ibotta.


How Much Have I Received with Using Shopping Portal Sites?

1. Rakuten (Ebates)

      Rakuten (Ebates) is a company that gives you cash back if you click through the links of the store which listed on https://www.rakuten.com/. I have been an Ebates member since 2011 and received over $540 of cash-back in total from Ebates so far. That's a quite bit money. ;)

2. TopCashback
      I also signed up Topcashback to get cash back from my online purchases last summer. Topcashback is another portal site and works just like Rakuten (Ebates). From my experiences, Topcashback wins most of times. That's why since last summer, I've used TopCashback on most of my online shopping. Indeed, I've already received about $413 cashback in total from my online shopping since I signed it up (It's just for 17 months!).

3. Ibotta
     I signed up Ibotta App about two years ago, and I've mostly used Ibotta for my in-store grocery shopping. They used to be just a cashback App for in-store purchase such as purchases from grocery stores, wholesale stores and pharmacies, but Ibotta started offering mobile shopping cashback includes Uber. I've used Ibotta for Uber, Ebay and Groupon purchases so far.  I received $158 cashback, which includes in-store purchase though, so far. If you purchase alcohol in-stores or restaurants, you will earn cashback faster than I do. Their alcohol rebates are the best, but I don't drink alcohol. ;)

Clinique Haul - Black Friday Deal

     I have been using Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion for so many years. My lotion would run out soon, so I needed to get a new one. Last Friday, I found Clinique was offering 25% off any order on Black Friday through Cyber Monday. My favorite Clinique lotion was originally $26 but was on sale for $19.50 with 25% discount! In addition, Topcashback, which is a company that gives you cash back if you click through the links of the store which listed on topcashback.com, was offering 13.20% cash back, so I will get $2.57 from them later, so my Clinique lotion will end up being $16.93, which was 35% off! I think it's not too shabby. ;)  By the way, last year, I purchased Clinique lotion through Ebates, which is a company just like Topcashback. I always compared Ebates and Topcashback in order to get better cash back. :)

      Actually, I started using Clinique skincare products when I was in early 20s in Japan. At that time, I used all Clinique lines. Clinique products in Japan are about three times more expensive than ones in the U.S., but I really loved their products. After many years, I use different skin care products but am still using this Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion. :)

Ebates Is Now Offering In-Store Cash Back Too!

       When I purchase something online, I always check Ebates.com first. Ebates is a company that gives you cash back if you click through the links of the store which listed on Ebates.com. I highly recommend using Ebates.com to anyone who shops online. It is very simple to earn cash back. I've had great experiences with Ebates for 5 years and earned $494.27 in total so far! :) Ebates is also great site for finding additional discounts.        I didn't know that Ebates is now offering in-store cash back too! A number of stores you can get cash back with your in-store purchase from is limited. While there are more than 2,000 online stores with cash back at Ebates, they only offer 26 stores for in-store purchase now. However, it's a very good news for me. When I shop some home decors at World Markets (in-store), I can get extra 4% cash back from Ebates! :)))



       I also signed up Topcashback to get cash back from my online purchases a few months ago. Topcashback is another portal site and works just like Ebates (but not in-store purchase). When I purchase something online, I compare Topcashback to Ebates, and I use whichever higher cashback offers. From my experiences, Topcashback wins most of times, and they usually allow to use purchase with gift cards while Ebates doesn't. My experience with Topcashback is just two months, so I will update my reviews about them a year later. :)

Clinique Haul - Cyber Monday Deal

       I have been using Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion for many years. I was looking for great deal on Clinique product for a long time. Many department stores often offer free bonus gifts with purchasing Clinique product. These days, the most offers have been a free bonus gifts with $32 more purchase. This lotion is only $26, so I've passed those deals. Last week, I found that Clinique.com would have 20% off sale and offer a free shipping on any purchase on Cyber Monday. Where I found this deal was Ebates.com, which is a company that gives you cash back if you click through the links of the store which listed on Ebates.com. Ebates also shares coupon codes and the contents of the sale.       I ordered this Cliniuqe Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion+. It was originally $26 but was on sale for $20.80 with 20% off sale. Clinique usually doesn't offer discounts as far as I know, so it was pretty rare deal! :)

        I didn't expect that I could choose a free bonus gift from many mini size Clinique products. I chose Cliniuqe All About Eyes without a second thought. So many years ago, I was using this eye cream for years and know that it works very well. However, I have some eye cream that I haven't used yet. After using them, I would like to go back Clinique eye product. That's why I was glad that I got this bonus!

The Way to Save Money on Airline Ticket

     As I mentioned in my previous entry, I booked the flight ticket several days ago. As most people do, I booked it through online. Whatever I purchase from online, I first look on Ebates to seek additional offers.

     That's why before booking the flight ticket, I clicked through Ebates.com and purchased it on Priceline.com that time. The price of the flight ticket was $1,100, and Ebates offered 1% cash back. 1% cash back sounds very little, but when you need to buy something very expensive, such as flight ticket, it's going to be a sweet deal.

     Today, I received email from Ebates that my account has been updated to reflect my online shopping. I was able to earn $11 from my flight ticket purchase. :)

My Experience with Ebates.com

     Have you heard about Ebates.com? Ebates is a company that gives you cash back if you click through the links of the store which listed on Ebates.com. I have been an Ebates member since 2011 and received over $100 of cash-back in total from Ebates so far. I highly recommend using Ebates.com to anyone who shops online. It is very simple to earn cash-back. If you don't have Ebates account, you should sign it up. When do I use Ebates?
     Before online-shopping, I always check Ebates to seek additional offers. For instance, Ebates is currently offering some Groupon deals which include a 3% cash back on your Groupon purchase. I have recently purchased two ferry tickets for $74 on Groupon.com and earned $2.22 cash-back on my Ebates account. What I did in order to earn my cash-back was that just clicking store link on Ebates.com before purchasing the tickets. What was the biggest bonus in my experience of Ebates?
     Ebates.com dose not only offer cash-back but also offer some additional discounts. For example, I have purchased some meats from Omaha Steak by clicking through Ebates.com. At that time, Ebates was offering a free 2 lb of Oven Roasted Turkey Breast and a 5% cash-back, so I ended up receiving a delicious roasted turkey breast for free and earning $2 cash-back!

Have I experienced any cash-back trouble?
     I have shopped online 22 times by clicking through Ebates.com for three years. My cash-back was missed twice. However, I have never been upset about that because they always try to figure it out and respond promptly.
     After purchasing online, I check my email box. Ebates sends me email to inform that my Ebates account has been updated to reflect recent shopping activity. When they send the email is varies. When I purchased from the Body Shop, my Ebates account was updated the next day. When I booked hotel room on Hotel.com, it was updated three days after actually staying at the hotel. If they don't send email to me after purchasing so long, I go through Customer Care, and Click "Where's my Cash Back?"  Then, I simply fill out the information. My cash back was missing twice, but they solved both of them within a few days.

How do they pay me back?
     They pay me back with a check every three months if I earned more than $5.01 cash back. Once you earned it, you should visit your "My Ebates" page and select cash back method, which you can choose from either check or PayPal. Make sure if your current address on your Ebates account is correct.




     So far, my experience with Ebates has been excellent! I am really satisfied with their site. If you don't own your Ebates account, you should sign it up and get a $10 giftcard.
