Memorial Day Travel - Part 5, Grand Canyon Sunset

      After watching Horseshoe Bend, my husband and I headed toward Grand Canyon National Park to see sunset there. We arrived at Grand Canyon South Rim at 7 p.m., which was 30 minutes before sunset time.

      We watched the sun setting on a skyline from just next to Desert View Watchtower. We enjoyed a spectacular sunset and took some photos.

       We stayed there during the sunset time only, but it was amazing experience! After sunset, it was getting dark by the second because of no lights around there. There was the only one store still open at that time, so we decided to purchase some souvenirs for ourselves. I'll write about it next time.
