Starbucks You Are Here Collection Mug - Vancouver

I have never been to Canada but got this Starbucks You Are Here Collection Vancouver mug at Starbucks in Page, Arizona. When my husband and I walked into the Starbucks store, we were going to look for Arizona mug and didn't expect that we would find Vancouver mug there. We were not able to find Arizona mug there but decided to buy Vancouver mug without a second thought. :) My husband asked the Starbucks staff the reason why they were selling Vancouver mugs there because these were supposed to sell in only Vancouver. They didn't know why. They said, "these just came in somehow." Anyway, it was a kind of a bonus for us because we are You Are Here mug collectors. :) This was labeled $14.99 of Canada dollar, so we paid $14.99 plus tax, which were $4 more expensive than ordinary You Are Here mug in the U.S. Considering the airplane fee to go to Canada, it was not expensive at all. :)

Let's look at the Vancouver mug!

There is a picture of bridge on this mug, and I think it is Burrard Bridge which connects Downtown Vancouver with Kitsilano over False Creek, which is short inlet in the heart of Vancouver. According to Wikipedia, a grey whale entered False Creek and traversed its length before returning to the open waters of the Strait of Georgia.

Whale and killer whale watching tours are also popular in Vancouver. There are many modern high-rise buildings in Downtown Vancouver. Harbour Center is a notable skyscraper there, and the observation floor is called the Lookout tower, which is a prominent landmark on the city's skyline.
