How to Make Thai Iced Coffee - Oliang, Cafe Yen

As I mentioned in my previous entry, I went to my local Thai restaurant to have Thai iced coffee. Thai iced coffee tastes like iced mocha latte. It's probably because it contains soy beans and corns in addition to coffee beans. After I had Thai iced coffee at the Thai restaurant, I made it several times at home. Today, I am finally going to share how to make it with you. :)

I purchased this Oliang Powder Mixed at my local Thai supermarket. Oliang is commonly known as Thai iced coffee. According to Wikpedia, the word "o" means "black" and "liang" means "cold". Oliang is black iced coffee.

It contains coffee beans (50%), corn and soy beans.

In Thailand, a Thai coffee filter is used to brew Thai coffee. The filter is a cotton cloth bag with a handle. I also purchased it at my local Thai supermarket.
