What He Got at Haneda Airport, Tokyo International Airport - Japan Haul

While my husband was on his business trip in Japan, he bought some Japanese delicious souvenirs at gift shops in Haneda Airport, Tokyo International Airport. Today, I'm going to share what he got there with you.

1. Ningyo Yaki (人形焼) : Molded Japanese Cakes

Ningyo Yaki 人形焼

Before he went to Japan, I told him that I wanted to eat ningyo yaki (人形焼), which is famous molded Japanese cakes in Tokyo. :) I also emailed him about it several times while he was in Tokyo in order to remind him about it. :) Actually, he almost forgot about it. In Tokyo, you can find ningyo yaki at most gift shops in sightseeing spots or at train stations and airports. There are always many kinds of ningyo yaki such as Japanese anime character figured ones like Doraemon and Sazaesan. This time, he bought traditional figured ningyo yaki. The package has the picture of Tokyo Edo Festival on it. You can see that people are carrying a Japanese traditional mikoshi was pictured.

Each ningyo yaki has different shape such as mikoshi (神輿), lanterns (提灯) and men carrying mikoshi.

It has sweetened Japanese red bean paste in it. I love ningyo yaki so much. :)) Many people love Tokyo Banana, which is also very popular souvenir from Tokyo, but I love ningyo yaki more than Tokyo Banana personally because ningyo yaki is delicious and affordable. :)

3. Shiroi Koibito (白い恋人)

Shiroi Koibito　白い恋人

Shiroi Koibito (白い恋人) is not a souvenir of Tokyo. It's the most popular cookies from Hokkaido (北海道), which is the largest and northernmost of Japan's 47 prefectures. However, he found Shiroi Koibito at a gift shop at Haneda Airport. :)

Because I have so many friends from Hokkaido, and I have received many kinds of delicious Hokkaido souvenirs from my friends so many times, I am very familiar with these cookies. These remind me of my friends from Hokkaido. :) This package has 12 pieces of cookies.
