Thanksgiving Grocery Shopping at Whole Foods

This Thursday, my husband and I went to Whole Foods to purchase some grocery for our Thanksgiving dinner.

Whole Foods Fresh Tabletop Christmas Trees
At the entrance, some fresh tabletop Christmas trees were selling for $24.99 each.

Whole Foods Rotisserie Chickens
Did you know that Whole Foods Rotisserie Chickens are very reasonable? Regular Plain Rotisserie Chicken is $5.99 and Organic one is $9.99.

Whole Foods Rotisserie Turkey
Because it was Thanksgiving Day, they were also selling Rotisserie Turkey. This large 10.75-pound Rotisserie Turkey was $69.99.

Whole Foods Rosemary Garlic Bone-In Turkey Breast
They were selling fresh Rosemary Garlic Bone-In Turkey Breast (ready to roast) for $5.99 per pound. The smallest one was 5.95 lb and was $35.64. The larger one was 9.75 lb and was $58.40.

Whole Foods Fresh Turkey Drumsticks, Wings, and Necks
They were also selling fresh turkey drumsticks and wings for $3.99 per pound, and necks and livers for $1.99 per pound.

Whole Foods Traditional Crab Cake
Two large crab cakes were $11.98.

Whole Foods Mini Chicken Cordon Bleu Bite and Chicken Enchilada Bite

Whole Foods Mini Chicken Cordon Bleu Bite and Chicken Enchilada Bite were $1.29 per piece (Each package contains 10 to 12 pieces.)

Whole Foods Mini Cheesy Jalapeno Chicken Bite and Italian Style Chicken Marsala Bite
Mini Cheesy Jalapeno Chicken Bite and Italian Style Chicken Marsala Bite were also $1.29 per piece. (Each package contains 12 to 16 pieces.)

Whole Foods Wrap
We decided to purchase Turkey Bacon & Swiss Wrap for lunch on Thanksgiving.

Whole Foods Pizza
By the way, we really love Whole Foods fresh Pizza.

What We Purchased at Whole Foods

These were the grocery we purchased at Whole Foods that day. When we go to Whole Foods, we often purchase grape tomatoes and baby carrots. Their fresh grape tomatoes always taste so good. I also love their frozen shelled edamame because edamame shells are already removed, so it's easy to cook and eat.

 Thanksgiving Lunch

Turkey Bacon & Swiss Wrap
Turkey Bacon & Swiss Wrap was $5.99. We had it for lunch with bacon, fried eggs, grape tomatoes and baby carrots.

I wanted to have something with turkey meat on Thanksgiving. It was healthy and perfect lunch for us. 😊

Thanksgiving Dinner

Air Fryer Turkey Wings

At the Whole Foods, we were going to purchase Rotisserie Chicken for dinner (because a rotisserie turkey was too big for us), but we ended up purchasing fresh turkey wings there. Three fresh turkey wings were only $9.58. As soon as we came back home from Whole Foods, I rubbed two teaspoons of salt on fresh turkey wings. Then, I soaked them in sake, Japanese alcohol for 6 hours or so in order to get rid of smell of meat and soften meat. Finally, I cooked them with our Gourmia 6-qt air fryer for 40 minutes in total. (Air fry them for 20 minutes. Then flip them over. Air fry them for another 20 minutes).

Air Fryer Turkey Wings

We also made scones, mushed potatoes and cream of mushroom soup. It was super easy Thanksgiving dinner!

3 Best Japanese Cleansing Oils, Oil-Based Makeup Removers

Best Japanese Beauty Products
There are many types of makeup removers, and oil-based makeup remover works the best for removing heavy makeups and waterproof sunscreens. Today, I'm going to share three best Japanese cleansing oils with you.

1. Fancl Mild Cleansing Oil (ファンケル  マイルドクレンジングオイル)
Oil Makeup Remover

60ml - 1,078 yen

120ml - 1,870 yen

Can be purchased at many drugstores and convenience stores such as Lawson and 7-Eleven in Japan.

Fancl Mild Cleansing Oil

Fancl Mild Cleansing Oil is one of the best oil-based makeup removers in Japan. Indeed, it was one of the products from the 2016 Beauty Hall of Fame chosen by @cosme, a huge Japanese cosmetic review site, since it has been winning the best beauty awards for many years.

The reasons why Fancl Mild Cleansing Oil is very popular are that it's very gentle to your skin, and it removes heavy makeup including waterproof mascara and eyeliners at one go without rubbing hard. It also remove dead skin and clogged pores.

3. Close your eyes and gently smooth over eye area.

4. Rinse it off.

KOSE Softymo Deep Cleansing Oil
KOSE Softymo Deep Cleansing Oil is very affordable and can be found most drugstores in Japan. As I mentioned in my previous entry, 4 Reasons Why I Love Kose Softymo Cleansing Oil , I have tried more than 15 kinds of Japanese oil makeup removers, and Softymo Deep Cleansing Oil is the best to me. It removes all makeup, dead skin and blackheads. It doesn't leave sticky oily feeling at all.
KOSE Softymo Cleansing Oil

There are three types of Softymo Cleansing Oil you can choose from such as Deep, Speedy and White. To me, these work the same. If you don't know which one you should choose, I recommend you to try the cheapest one.

How to Use

1. Take 2 pumps onto your dry palm.

Cow Brand Makeup Cleansing Oil

This Cow Brand Makeup Cleansing Oil is the one I would like to purchase in Japan next time. Pendleton Sherpa Fleece Blanket - COSTCO Haul

Pendleton Sherpa Fleece Blanket
My husband and I go to Costco for grocery shopping every weekend. About a few months ago, I told him that I read some articles regarding to Pendleton blankets selling at Costco on Yahoo USA and some blogs. Usually, Pendleton blankets are very expensive (around $200), but they were affordable at Costco. I asked him, "Did you notice that many people buying these blankets? They are super popular, and I guess that they will sell out very soon."

Pendleton Sherpa Fleece Blanket
We finally decided to purchase one. 😊

Pendleton Sherpa Fleece Blanket

       We chose this blue blanket.

When we purchased this blanket, it was not very cold because we live in sunny Southern California. However, it's getting colder these days. He told me that he loved this cozy warm blanket and was glad that we had purchased it earlier. 😉

We also found that there were Pendleton mugs at Costco.

Pendleton National Parks Collectable Mugs

These were also cute and very affordable.
