Review: Hilton Fukuoka Sea Hawk Executive Lounge – Cocktail Time Experience (Spring 2026)

Hilton Fukuoka Sea Hawk Executive Lounge

This March, my husband and I returned to Japan and stayed once again at the Hilton Fukuoka Sea Hawk. It was our third visit, and by now the hotel feels pleasantly familiar.

One of the places we enjoyed most was the Executive Lounge on the 33rd floor. Guests in Executive Rooms or Suites, as well as Hilton Honors Diamond members, can relax here with complimentary food and drinks during Cocktail Time.

Below are the Executive Lounge hours for reference:

Executive Lounge Hours: 7:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Breakfast

Weekdays: 6:30 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
Weekends & Holidays: 6:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.

Refreshment Time

After breakfast until 5:00 p.m.
7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Cocktail Time

5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

The weather was rainy that day, so we headed to the Executive Lounge around 5 p.m. There were already a few guests inside, but the space still felt relaxed and far from crowded.

During Cocktail Time, the lounge serves a variety of light snacks, making it easy to enjoy a casual early‑evening bite.

We enjoyed trying so many different dishes. We noticed an Indian chef checking the food station, which probably explains why there were several Indian dishes available that evening. My husband especially liked the Indian curry, and I enjoyed the Indian dessert.

I’m always impressed that the menu at the Hilton Fukuoka Executive Lounge changes every time we visit. If you’re curious, you can take a look at my previous entries about this lounge here and here.

This time, we decided to try a small bottle of Asahi Zero, a 0% alcohol beer‑taste drink. It was my first time drinking it, and I was surprised that it really did taste like beer. For anyone who enjoys the flavor of beer but needs to avoid alcohol, it’s a good non‑alcohol option to keep in mind.

As for me, I’ve never been a big beer drinker, so one bottle was enough to satisfy my curiosity. In the end, I still prefer coffee or tea when I’m relaxing in the lounge. My husband enjoyed trying something different, but I was happy to go back to my usual warm drink afterward.

One thing I always appreciate at Hilton hotels is the high‑quality coffee. Their lounges consistently serve good coffee, and Hilton Fukuoka is no exception. They use Nespresso machines, and the flavor is rich, smooth, and reliably delicious. I really enjoyed my cup of coffee that evening—it was the perfect way to finish Cocktail Time.

We ended up eating quite a lot at the lounge because there were so many dishes we wanted to try. After relaxing for a while, we decided it would be a good idea to head to the gym to balance things out. I’ll write about our gym visit in my next entry.

Hotel Room Tour and Review – Twin Hilton High Floor Corner Room at Hilton Fukuoka Sea Hawk

As I mentioned in my previous entries, my husband and I visited Japan this March. After checking out of the ANA Crowne Plaza Fukuoka, we made our way to the Hilton Fukuoka Sea Hawk. This was our third stay at this hotel, so arriving here felt a little familiar and comforting.

At Hilton Fukuoka, we checked in at the lobby on the fourth floor. Hilton Fukuoka Sea Hawk is usually much calmer compared to Hilton properties in larger cities like Tokyo or Osaka, so the check‑in area always feels relaxed and unhurried. We had originally booked the most budget‑friendly room, but thanks to my husband’s Hilton Honors Diamond status, we were eligible for an upgrade based on availability. This time, we were lucky to be assigned a Twin Hilton High Floor Corner Room, which offers a brighter and more spacious layout than the standard High Floor rooms. They also handed me a couple of Mitomo facial essence masks at check‑in — a small surprise that I hadn’t received at other Hilton properties before, and it felt like a cute little extra touch.

Complimentary continental breakfast — available for you and one registered guest each day of your stay. At this hotel, breakfast normally costs 3,600 yen per person, so our 7,200‑yen meals were completely free.
Executive Lounge access — where you can enjoy complimentary drinks and light meals during the day.
Space‑available room upgrades — we were upgraded from the most budget‑friendly room to a Twin Hilton High Floor Corner Room.
Premium Wi‑Fi throughout the hotel.
Complimentary public bath tickets — we received free entry to the rock bath on the 8th floor. These tickets normally cost 1,760 yen per person (3,520 yen for two), so this was a nice added benefit.

We stayed in a Twin Hilton High Floor Corner Room on the 28th floor, which offered great views and plenty of natural light.

The moment I walked in, the room felt incredibly spacious and full of light, with two large windows stretching across two walls. Once I opened the curtains, the room became wonderfully bright. Even though it was a rainy day, the light from both windows still made the space feel open and inviting.

We were also able to enjoy a clear view of Fukuoka PayPay Dome from the window, which made the room feel even more special.

The other window offered a wide city view, stretching across the skyline and giving us a beautiful look over Fukuoka.

Niwaka Senpei (博多にわかせんぺい)

The welcome gift was Hakata Niwaka Senpei (博多にわかせんぺい), a classic Fukuoka treat with its charming mask design. We remembered watching the commercials when we were kids living in Fukuoka, and the moment we saw these, all those nostalgic memories came back.

There was a mini bar counter equipped with a Nespresso coffee maker, along with four Nespresso pods neatly prepared for us.

Inside the large closet, we found two pairs of slippers and pajamas neatly prepared for us.

Bathroom

The bathroom was clean and comfortably spacious for us.

Crabtree & Evelyn hand wash and body lotion were placed on the vanity.

The amenities were simple, with only a toothbrush, shaver, comb, Q‑tips, and cotton pads provided. It covered the basics we needed.

It featured a separate shower room and a bathtub, which made the space more convenient.

The toilet came with a washlet feature, which is quite standard in Japanese hotels.

Overall, we truly loved this room. It felt quite new, and it turns out it had been renovated not long ago. We also loved that it was a corner room with two large windows on separate walls, filling the space with light and making it feel wonderfully open and spacious.

This was our third time staying at this hotel, and each visit has given us a different room and a completely new impression. It’s one of the things that makes coming back here feel a little exciting.

Hotel Room Tour and Review – Returning to ANA Crowne Plaza Fukuoka

As I mentioned in my previous entry, my husband and I visited Japan in March this year. One of the main reasons for our trip was to undergo a complete medical checkup, known as ningen dock (人間ドック). This time, we chose to have it done in Fukuoka.

Because of that, we decided to stay at ANA Crowne Plaza Fukuoka, which is conveniently located just a five‑minute walk from JR Hakata Station. We had stayed at this hotel before and loved how close it is to the Depachika, making it easy to pick up something delicious whenever we wanted.

This time, the location felt even more perfect. After a long journey — Los Angeles → Seoul → Fukuoka — we were exhausted. On top of that, we went to see an ophthalmologist that same day to check on my eye condition. Being able to walk everywhere without thinking too much, especially when we were tired, made such a difference. The hotel’s convenience and familiarity gave us a small sense of comfort right when we needed it.

ANA Crowne Plaza Fukuoka

Queen Standard (21㎡ / 226ft²)

We stayed in a Queen Standard Room — compact, but thoughtfully designed and perfectly comfortable for two. It had everything we needed for a pleasant, relaxing stay, and the cozy layout made it easy to unwind after a long day of travel and appointments.

Fresh pairs of pajamas were laid out on the bed, a small touch that made the room feel instantly welcoming.

A compact charging cube sat on the bedside table, and with its multiple connector types, it made charging all our devices incredibly convenient during our stay.

On the desk, there was information about the Front Equipment Lending Services, where you can request complimentary items such as a baby bath, wheelchair, hair iron, or facial steamer; During my previous stay, I rented a Panasonic Nanoe Facial Steamer and loved it so much that I even wanted to buy one, but after this long trip I was simply too tired to borrow it again.

The mini bar area under the TV held a small refrigerator and a cabinet stocked with tea, coffee supplies, cups, and a kettle, making it perfect for enjoying a relaxing drink in the room.

The minibar selection included two black tea bags, two Yame green tea bags—premium tea from Fukuoka known for its deep umami and smooth sweetness—and four packs of instant coffee, perfect for a quick and comforting drink anytime.

The clean bathroom space was minimal but immaculate, creating a calm and comfortable place to get ready.

The bathroom was well stocked with toothbrushes, a shaver, a comb, Q‑tips, and two kinds of bath salt, making it easy to settle in comfortably.

The bathroom setup offered Antipodes Fig & Feijoa hand and body wash, lotion, shampoo, and conditioner, which added a lovely touch of luxury. Antipodes is a New Zealand–based natural skincare brand that uses sustainably sourced ingredients, including Vinanza antioxidants and mānuka honey.

Overall experience

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The location was incredibly convenient, making it easy and enjoyable to walk around Hakata. One of my favorite moments was picking up delicious foods from the depachika and savoring them back in the comfort of our room. I’ll write more about that next time.
