Best Western Plus El Paso Airport Hotel & Conference Center - New Year's Travel Day 2 - 3/3

During New Year's holidays, my husband and I went on a road trip for 5 days. On January 1st, after having dinner at Famous Dave's, BBQ restaurant in El Paso, Texas, we headed toward Best Western Plus El Paso Airport Hotel & Conference Center, we stayed that night. This hotel was located very close to the Famous Dave's. There was Starbucks next to the motel.

The tall beautiful Christmas tree was stood in the center of the lobby. :) The hotel staff was very friendly.

Next morning, it was pretty cold outside but was a beautiful sunny day. :)

My husband told me that this hotel was located pretty close to the border between the U.S. and Mexico. I looked at the large city and the mountain range from the hotel parking lot. I thought that the large city I was looking at was Ciudad Juárez in Mexico.

Then, we headed toward Clarlsbad Caverns National Park.

Best Western Plus Plaza by the Green - Motel Review

When my husband and I was traveling in Seattle, we stayed Best Western Plus Plaza by the Green. The reason why we chose this motel was that it has been highly rated on many review sites. In addition, this motel is located next to golf course whose views from the motel are so beautiful. Even though I don't play golf, I wanted to see beautiful green golf courses from the motel during our stay because I used to work at a restaurant in golf course in Japan when I was in high school. It reminded me of my teenage years. Besides all, we had good experiences at another Best Western motel in Bishop before. That's why we decided to stay this motel with high expectations.

We were able to see beautiful green golf course from the lobby. There were some sofas outside too.

We saw some golfers, rabbits and ducks there.

At the right next to the lobby, there was a snack bar where we could get coffee, tea and fruits 24/7.

There was a fitness center on the first floor.

We stayed a non-smoking room with a queen size bed. The room was nice and clean. The WiFi access was really stable. :)

There were complimentary water bottles, some coffee and tea. :)

There was a small refrigerator under the TV.

The bathroom was also clean. I liked that the bathroom mirror was big and lights were bright enough to do makeup. :)

There were a soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotion and makeup remover.

The bath tub was also clean. The shower had excellent water pressure and lots of hot water.

I liked their free continental breakfast including boiled eggs, omelets, breakfast sausages, bagels, waffles, yogurt, and etc.

The location was a little farther from Downtown Seattle, but it was no problem for us since we had a rental car. It took us 30 minutes to Downtown Seattle from the motel by car. Even though the parking fees in Downtown are usually pretty expensive, we were lucky that Sundays and public holidays' parking fees were free! :) Considering that many motels in central of Downtown Seattle are three times more expensive than the motel located near the airport, staying this motel was great choice for us. :) If I have a chance to go to Seattle again, I would like to stay this motel. :)

Travel Inn in South Lake Tahoe - Motel Review

My husband and I stayed at Travel Inn in South Lake Tahoe, California, on August 31. That day was Labor Day weekend, and we booked the room three days before checking in. That's why it was very hard to find vacancy, so we ended up finding this motel. The others were almost all booked up that day.

While we were checking in at the front desk, I noticed something smelled like curry from backroom. Maybe their dinner was curry that day. :) The lady at front desk was pretty nice. I thought this motel was homey. She told us that they were currently having problem with WiFi connection and suggested using other motels' Internet WiFi access and telling us the passwords. We tried that but were not able to get WiFi access eventually. :(

It was a non-smoking room with two double beds. It was so specious. The room was pretty old, so it didn't look very clean. I can say it was okay room.

The bed making was done neatly. :) I liked watching the wooden ceiling from lying down in bed. I felt like if I were staying at a mountain lodge.

There was a fireplace! I think that it will be very useful in cold winter.

The bathroom was pretty small, and there was no vent fan. I just found there was the very small window right next to shower space above my head though. There were two sample packs of shampoo and two soap bars.

Best Western Bishop Lodge - Motel Review

My husband and I stayed at Best Western Bishop Lodge in Bishop, California, on August 30. It was a non-smoking room with a queen size bed for Saturday night, which was Labor day weekend, for $101. We booked the room two days before checking in, so I guess that it might be more reasonable if you book a room in advance. I know we should have done it earlier. However, I was satisfied with staying this motel overall. :)
The room was nice and clean. They provided free WiFi, and its access was pretty stable. :)

The numbers of towels was enough for two people. There were the coffee machine and four packs of ground coffee. :) There were two soap bars and small bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and lotion.

The bathroom was also nice and clean.

What I loved this motel was that there were the microwave and the refrigerator.

This motel has a fitness gym. Although the gym, which probably has only three to four gym equipments, is very small, I think that some people love working out during staying there.

They also have free continental breakfast, including bagel, sliced bread, waffle, boiled eggs, scramble egg, breakfast sausages, apple, orange, banana, yogurt, coffee, orange juice, apple juice and so on. We didn't eat a lot because we wanted to buy sandwiches at a nearby famous bakery, Erick Schat's Bakkery. We enjoyed coffee at this motel. They provided three kinds of coffee, medium roast, dark roast, and decaf coffee.

Quality Inn Flagstaff - Review

Last night, my husband and I stayed at Quality Inn in Flagstaff, Arizona. It was a non-smoking room with a queen size bed for Sunday night, which was the day before Memorial Day, for $65.17.

The room was clean and quiet. WiFi was free, but Internet access was not always stable.
Quality Inn Flagstaff

I liked that there was the 6-outlet on the wall. :) The flat TV was big enough, but its remote control didn't work at all.
Quality Inn Flagstaff

There were four packs of instant coffee and two tea bags. I didn't use their shampoo and conditioner, but I liked the lotion, which had probably aloe scent. I didn't also use their hair dryer, iron, and ironing board, but I think that these are useful for some people. I thought a number of towels which were two bath towels, a hand towel, and a small facial towel, were not enough for two people. :(
Quality Inn Flagstaff

The shower head was very unique. The head dial can allow to shift the spray setting, such as massaging mode.

breakfast

It included continental breakfast, but the food selections were pretty limited. The hall for breakfast was still under contraction, so we needed to go to the converted guest room for breakfast. Considering the price, it was pretty good motel though.

I uploaded my Youtube video which I recorded there.

Motel 6 St. George, Utah - Review

Yesterday, my husband and I stayed at Motel 6 in St. George, Utah for our first time. It was a non-smoking queen bed for a Saturday night stay for $62.26.

The room was nice and clean. They provided free WiFi, and Internet access was pretty stable. :)

There was no bathtab but it's fine for me.

Amenities were really limited. There was no shampoo, conditioner, nor hair dryer, but it was no problem for me at all because I usually prefer to use my own ones. I used their soap only, but I didn't like it. Even though I rinsed my hands thoroughly, I still felt something on my hands. My husband told me that he didn't like the soap either.

The front desk staffs were friendly and check in was pretty quick. Overall, this Motel 6 was fine for us. It was okay to stay for just sleeping.

I uploaded my Youtube video which I recorded there.
