Japanese Beauty Haul - 5 Face Mask Products I Purchased in Japan

These are face masks I purchased in Japan.

As I mentioned in my previous entry, my husband and I visited in Japan last month. When I was in Japan, Japanese yen was pretty low (1 USD was 141 yen at that time.), so everything I saw in Japan looked an incredible bargain to me. In addition, because of the coronavirus pandemic, we hadn't visited Japan for almost three years, so my shopping list was longer and longer. That's why, as you can see the photo below, I purchased so many beauty products there this time. I really love Lululun Precious Green Balance facial masks, so I purchased it at Donki. They are selling 7-sheet packs and 32-sheet boxes. This time, I purchased this 7-sheet one because I also wanted to try some other facial masks.

Several years ago, Keana Nadeshiko Rice Mask was very hard to find one in Tokyo because of its extreme popularity. Now you can purchase it at most drugstores. This is still one of my favorite Japanese face masks (I sometimes ordered it from Amazon US.), so I purchased it without second thought.

I've always wanted to try this facial mask since I found that my favorite YouTuber, Sumisho who used to work for a Japanese cosmetic company as a cosmetic scientist in Japan, recommends this Kose Clear Turn mask in his YouTube video. LDK Beauty Magazine also says this face mask is better than high-end facial masks.

This VT CICA Daily Soothing Mask is actually Korean beauty product, and it has been very popular in Japan. Most drugstores and Donki were selling this facial mask, so I decided to try one for my first time.

As I mentioned in my previous entry, Japanese Beauty Haul - What I Purchased at a Japanese Supermarket in the U.S., I purchased some popular Japanese beauty products at Tokyo Central, a Japanese supermarket in the U.S., last month. At the store, I also purchased a set of Lululun Face Masks for $10. Two of them are 7-sheet packages, and three of them are individual ones. In total, this set contained 17 facial mask sheets! It was a pretty good deal. Today, I'm going to share with you what Lululun Face Masks I got from the set.

Lululun Precious Red has been very popular in Japan and won the best face mask awards many times. Lululun Precious series is anti-aging skin care products and this Lululun Precious Red is extra moisturizing facial sheet mask. It moisturizes your skin well and improves skin elasticity. It's also popular on Amazon.

I really love Lululun Precious series. I have used red one and green one before and really love them. Lululun Precious face mask has three types of face masks (Red, Green and White), and there are two different packages, 7-sheet pack and 32-sheet box, you can choose from.

As I mentioned in my previous entry, 6 Best Japanese Facial Sheet Masks Loved by Japanese Beauty Experts, this Lululun face mask is loved by many beauty gurus in Japan. As I also mentioned in my previous entry, Sakura Uehara's Everyday Skincare Routine - Best Skincare Products Japanese Celebrity Loves, Japanese celebrity, Sakura Uehara, loves Lululun Blue face mask and use it twice a day to keep her skin in best condition.

Lululun has changed the name of regular Lululun series to "Lululun Pure". Lululun Pure series are also perfect for younger generation such as people who in their 10s and 20s.

Lululun One is the most expensive one in Lululun face mask series, but it's worth your money because many people review that it revives your skin right away. (However, it's still 300 yen per sheet! 😉)

Lululun One White is also luxury face mask. Many people review that this face mask hydrates your skin very well, and makeup stays better on all day. I also mentioned this Lululun One White in my previous entry, 6 Best Japanese Facial Sheet Masks Loved by Japanese Beauty Experts.

How to Use Lululun One White

・Apply on dry skin, after cleansing.
・Leave on for 5 to 10 minutes.

・Use on your special day or one a week.

The reason why I purchased the set of Lululun Face Masks for $10 there was that the set included two Lululun One face masks. At the store, 5-Sheet Lululun One is selling for $22.99 ($4.59 for per sheet), so two sheets of Lululun One is usually $9.18. The set was $10 but was $24.16 value. I thought it's a pretty good deal. 😆 I really look forward to using two Lululun One face masks!

Japanese Beauty Haul - What I Purchased at a Japanese Supermarket in the U.S.

It has been two years since I visited Japan last time. Before the COVID-19 pandemic, I used to visit Japan at least every two years, and my husband used to visit Japan a few times a year. However, we are still not sure when we can visit Japan next time. I hope that we will visit Japan without quarantine next year. I really miss our families in Japan, authentic Japanese foods and shopping great Japanese products.

Last month, I went to Tokyo Central, a Japanese supermarket in the U.S., to purchase some Japanese beauty products because they were having holiday beauty sale. Today, I'm going to share what I purchased at a Japanese supermarket with you.

1. Kikumasamune Skin Care Lotion High Moist (菊正宗日本酒の化粧水高保湿)

Kikumasamune Skin Care Lotion High Moist (菊正宗日本酒の化粧水高保湿)

When I found this Kikumasamune Skin Care Lotion was on sale at Tokyo Central, I thought that I should buy one because this is very popular keshosui, Japanese lotion, in Japan!

Kikumasamune (菊正宗) is one of the largest sake breweries in Japan. If you love drinking Japanese sake, I think that you've probably heard of Kikumasamune before. They started selling Kikumasamune Skin Care Lotion (菊正宗日本酒の化粧水) in 2012, and it was selected the best keshosui of the year of 2017 by LDK the beauty, Japanese beauty magazine. This keshosui contains Japanese sake which moisturizes your skin and improves your skin condition. You perhaps don't like its sake aroma. However, the smell of lotion disappear in seconds after applying it.

How to Use

Apply adequate amount of keshosui on your clean face. Then, apply nyueki on your face.

Naturie Hatomugi Skin Conditioner (ハトムギ化粧水スキンコンディショナー)

I have been using this Naturie Hatomugi Skin Conditioner and really like it. The reason why I went to the Japanese supermarket that day was that I found this keshosui was on sale.

Hatomugi Skin Conditioner has been very popular in Japan. Indeed, it won many beauty awards in Japan. It's very affordable and moisturizes your skin very well. In addition, it is really gentle to your skin.

How to Use

Apply adequate amount of keshosui on your clean face. Then, apply nyueki on your face.

Naturie Hatomugi Skin Conditioning Milk (ハトムギ浸透乳液スキンコンディショナーミルク)

Naturie also released Hatomugi Skin Coditioning Milk in 2019, and it has already won some beauty awards in Japan. It's Japanese nyueki, Japanese milky or creamy lotion. I found that my favorite Japanese YouTuber, Sumisho, who used to work for a Japanese cosmetic company as a cosmetic scientist in Japan, reviewing this nyueki in his video, and I really wanted to try it out.

How to Use

After applying keshosui on your clean face, apply nyueki.

Natural Organic Deep Cleansing Oil (情熱価格ナチュラルオーガニックディープクレンジングオイル)

This is Donki's store brand cleansing oil. Because Tokyo Central is owned by Donki, you can find many Donki's store brand products at affordable prices at Tokyo Central. At the store, I found this huge bottle (500ml) of cleansing oil, and I quickly checked its reviews in Japanese. Surprisingly, it has many positive reviews, and I decided to purchase it. I like the fact that it has lavender scent which makes me relax, and it removes heavy makeup and waterproof sunscreen easily.

How to Use

1. Take 2 to 3 pumps onto your dry palm.

2. Gently smooth over dry face for 20 seconds. Gently massage in circular motions.

3. Add water and it transforms to a milky.

4. Rinse it off.

I remembered that I really enjoyed using many different kinds of Lululun facial masks from the set. I was glad that they were also selling Lululun sets this year! I'll write about this set of Lululun Facial Masks in my next entry. 😉
