The Beatles - Blackbird

I have been listening to Blackbird, which is a the Beatles song and was recorded in 1968. I found this song while watching ER, an American medical serial drama. Chloe Lewis, who is one of the characters of ER and is the older sister of ER physician Susan Lewis, sings this song while she is in labor. After she leaves behind her baby and disappears, her sister, Susan, takes care of her baby and occasionally sings this song. That's why this song caught my ears. I searched the name of this song and found that this song was written by Paul McCartney. While I really like some songs sung by the Beatles, I didn't know this song before. Now, this song is one of my favorite songs.  :)

Lyrics

Blackbird singing in the dead of night
Take these broken wings and learn to fly
All your life
You were only waiting for this moment to arise

Blackbird singing in the dead of night
Take these sunken eyes and learn to see
All your life
You were only waiting for this moment to be free

Blackbird fly, blackbird fly
Into the light of the dark black night

Blackbird fly, blackbird fly
Into the light of the dark black night

Blackbird singing in the dead of night
Take these broken wings and learn to fly
All your life

You were only waiting for this moment to arise
You were only waiting for this moment to arise
You were only waiting for this moment to arise
