Have you ever heard of Japanese freeze dried food? Because of freeze dry technology, Japanese instant foods are next level!

Several years ago, my mother-in-law who lives in Japan sent some packs of instant miso soup to my husband and me. We prepared the instant miso soup for dinner and were really surprised at how fresh it was! We just poured hot water to it to prepare instant miso soup, but it turned out to be like freshly cooked miso soup. Tofu and vegetables were so fresh, so it didn't taste like instant foods at all.

Many Japanese companies have been trying to make more of delicious instant foods with freeze dry technology such as miso soup, oyakodon and fresh sashimi.

Indeed, when I visited Japan last year, I purchased some packs of instant miso soup and gave some as Japanese souvenirs to my friends, and they were really surprised at Japanese freeze dry technology. Marukome is one of the most famous miso paste manufacture companies in Japan. They make some freeze dried instant miso soup such as Ryouteinoaji (料亭の味) series, Tsukiji Tamura (つきぢ田村) series and Tanita Syokudo (タニタ食堂) series. This time, I chose Tsukiji Tamura mushroom miso soup.
