ANA In-Flight Meals (Tokyo to Los Angeles) - New Year's Japan Travel Day 9

My husband and I traveled Japan during New Year's holidays. As I mentioned in my previous entry, after having coffee at Doutor Coffee in Fukuoka Airport, we flew to Tokyo from Fukuoka. Then, we finally got on an airplane, ANA B777-300, to fly back to Los Angeles.

In-Flight Meal (from Tokyo Haneda to Los Angeles)
ANA, All Nippon Airways, is a Japanese airline, so I really enjoyed Japanese meals and drinks during the flight. All of them I had in the airplane was very delicious! :)
Rice Crackers
They served the small quantity of Japanese rice crackers. There were many kinds of rice crackers in it. I love rice crackers wrapped with nori, which is called nori maki arare (海苔巻あられ) in Japan.

We don't usually drink alcohol but enjoyed Japanese beer, Suntory The Premium Malt's (サントリー ザ・プレミアム モルツ) and Asahi Super Dry (アサヒ スーパードライ).

The First In-Flight Meal (Lunch / Dinner)
I didn't expect that in-flight meals for the economy class were good, but I actually was impressed at ANA in-flight meals (Tokyo to Los Angeles)! After this travel, I also read a Japanese article about Japanese airlines' in-flight meals. ANA and JAL are trying to improve their in-flight meals. Their in-flight meals from Japan taste great! However, ANA in-flight meals from LAX weren't so good to me.
ANA Economy Class In-Flight Meal (Snow Crab Meat and Seafood Over Steamed Rice)
I thought that this seafood rice bowl tasted as good as a Japanese high-end bento which Japanese department stores (depachika) sell. I really loved it.
Soup

ANA Economy Class In-Flight Meal (ANA Original Chicken Curry and Steamed Rice)
Their chicken curry was also delicious!

Haagen-Dazs Ice Cream
They also served a small cup of Haagen-Dazs ice cream! :)

The Second In-Flight Meal (Breakfast)

ANA Economy Class In-Flight Meal (Sockeye Salmon Flakes and Shreded Egg Crape Over Steamed Rice)
This salmon flakes bowl is called sansyoku don (三色丼) in Japan. Sanshoku don means three (三) colors (色) of ingredients over steamed rice (丼). This sansyoku don was also so delicious!

ANA Economy Class In-Flight Meal (Pancake and Poacked Egg)
I thought these pancakes were nothing special. They were slightly sweet and good. :)

After a long flight, we finally arrived at Los Angeles International Airport in the morning on January 4. I cannot believe that it's been already 9 months since I came back from Japan!
