Doutor Coffee - New Year's Japan Travel Day 9

My husband and I traveled Japan during New Year's holidays. As I mentioned in my previous entry, after having breakfast at his parents' home, we headed toward the airport. We filled up the gas and returned a rental car. Finally, we arrived at Fukuoka Airport. After checking-in the airport, we went to Doutor Coffee (ドトールコーヒー), located on the second floor of the domestic terminal. Doutor Coffee is one of the best coffee chains in Japan and was first opened in Tokyo in 1980. They have over 900 branches in Japan now.

We enjoyed the view of the airport runway from the seats. ;)

We ordered iced coffee for 270 yen and iced matcha latte for 390 yen. They were so refreshing!

When I was working at a large hospital in Japan, there was Doutor Coffee located on the first floor of the hospital. I sometimes enjoyed their coffee and sandwiches there after working very long hours. It was a kind of an oasis for patients and medical staffs. Their coffee reminded me of my old days in Japan. :)

Fukuoka Airport

Then, we flew to Tokyo from Fukuoka, and we finally got on the airplane to fly back to Los Angeles. Next time, I will write about what I had in the airplane. (It will be the last entry of my New Year's travel.)
