Starbucks Japan Geography Series City Tumbler - Tokyo

Starbucks Japan released local mugs and tumblers, Starbucks Japan Geography Series, in October last year. When my husband was on his business trip in Tokyo, he bought some mugs and tumblers there. In my previous entry, I've already shared Starbucks Tokyo mug with you, but I totally forgot to write about this Tokyo tumbler! Today, I'm finally going to share this tumbler with you. Starbucks Japan Geography Series Tokyo tumblers and mugs are released at Starbucks branches located in Tokyo only. "Pokunai?" is a word young people use in Japan. When you say, "Pokunai?", it means that it looks like. However, when you say, "Pokunai."(without question mark), it means that it doesn't look like. Maybe, the woman in an orange dress pictured below is looking at Japanese TV show filming on the street and thought the TV star looks like someone she has seen on TV. She says to her friend, "Anohito Pokunai? (あの人っぽくない？)" Which means that the TV star looks like someone she knows!

I guess the phrase of "Dayone" was come from Tokyo, but now young people use dayone everywhere in Japan. Dayone is a casual word. It has many meaning; for instance, "Yeah, it is just as I expected!" or "I couldn't agree more!" Maybe, the woman in this picture found that there is a super long line to enter the grand opening famous place which has been often on TV. When she sees that crowded place, she might say, "Dayone.(だよね～)" (Too many people! I expected it though. )
