Starbucks Japan - City Tumbler - Yokohama

Last month, my husband bought this Starbucks Yokohama tumbler while he was on business trip in Japan. He and I have traveled Yokohama, which is the second largest city in Japan, several times when we lived in Japan. It was many years ago, and I only remembered that we went to Yokohama Chinatown and had delicious Chinese foods. :) Anyway, I'm going to share this Starbucks Yokohama tumbler with you.

The Port of Yokohama was opened in 1859. At the time of era, foreign people used a carriage as a transport around the port. That scene was very unusual for Japanese people. People have been called the road around the port "Bashamichi", carriage drive in Japanese. That's why some wagon wheels were pictured on this Yokohama tumbler.

This picture of the historical building is Kanagawa Prefecture Museum of Cultural History. It was built as Yokohama Specie Bank in 1904. About half a century later, this eventually became the museum in 1968.

This historical brown building is Yokohama City Port Opening Memorial Hall, which was built as 50th anniversary event of opening the Port of Yokohama in 1917.
The picture of the beige building with a turquoise dome behind Yokohama City Port is Yokohama Customs, was completed in 1934. It is also called "the queen tower."

Bashamachi in Yokohama is also known as the first place to have used gas lamp in Japan.

This histrical building is Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse, which was built as a bonded warehouse a century ago. Now, this is used as a huge shopping mall and event venues.

The huge bridge is Yokohama Bay Bridge, which was opened in 1989. Minato Mirai 21, the central business district of Yokohama, was drawn with red lines.
