The Oldest House |
During New Year's holidays, my husband and I went on a road trip
for 5 days. On January 3, after visiting
Loretto Chapel, we went to De
Vargas Street House, which is also called the Oldest House, in Santa
Fe, New Mexico. It was an old adobe structure first built in 1646 and is one of the oldest
buildings in the U.S. Actually, it was previously alleged to be oldest
house in the U.S.

It was a small adorable house. There were two red chilli ristras hung around the cute blue entrance door.

It was free to enter and see inside the house, which is now a museum with a small gift shop.

It was very interesting to see one of the oldest houses in the U.S. Then, we walked around Downtown Santa Fe. I'll write about it
next time.
