My husband and I went traveling to the Big Island, Hawaii, on December 31. After 5-hour flight from Los Angeles, we finally arrived at Kona International Airport.

In Los Angeles, we wore down jackets because of coldness. However, it was very beautiful sunny day and warm in Hawaii, so we didn't need outerwear anymore. :) We took narrow stairs to get off the airplane.

We have been to so many airports so far, but this airport looked very unique. The airport terminal was an open-air set of structures. The Hawaiian roofs at the airport looked like cute huts.
