How to Make a Kaisen-tororo Don

     Last Sunday, my husband and I went to a Japanese supermarket and a Korean supermarket. We bought some ingredients to make Kaisen-tororo don for our dinner. It cost about $9 for two bowls, and it was very tasty!

These ingredients were on sale at the stores.
Nagaimo $1.94 (at Japanese supermarket)
Tuna Negi Toro $2.79 (at Japanese supermarket)
Sea Urchin $3.99 (at Korean supermarket)
Green Onion $0.10  (at Korean supermarket)

     This kaisen-tororo don was very easy to make. I'm going to share with you how to make a Kaisen-tororo don. :)

Kaisen-tororo Don



 Ingredients for two serving
two servings of cooked rice
1/2 pound of grated nagaimo
1/2 pound of tuna negi toro or sliced tuna
 1 pack of sea urchin (or whatever sashimi you like)
a little bit of sliced green onion
2 tablespoon of soy sauce
a little bit of wasabi


1. Serve cooked rice in a bowl.
2. Put grated nagaimo on the top of the rice.
3. Add tuna, sea urchin, and green onion on the bowl.
4. Mix soy sauce and wasabi, and put them on the bowl.
5. Enjoy. :)
