Traveling to Shanghai - 4 (12/28)

After having breakfast, we headed toward Yu Garden. It was chilly due to rain, so my rain boots were very handy that day.

Around the City God Temple, there were numerous gift shops and restaurants that looked like old castles. According to Wikipedia, most of these buildings were nearly 100 year old.

There was a pond, and I was able to see many colorful fish from the deck.

There were also some geese around the pond.

We decided to enter the Yu Garden. The scenery of the garden was amazing!

I felt like I was in a completely different world.

We were able to see many incredible detailed sculptures.

Then, we found some fruit sweets were selling after we left Yu Garden. I bought caramelized sugar coated strawberry candy. It was pretty good. :)

Then, we went to famous xiaolongbao fast food restaurant. There was a long line from the store. We waited for 15 minutes or so.

These looked very good and tasted better than we expected! We needed to be careful of the very hot juice inside xiaolongbao. :)

After leaving the City God Temple, we took a break to rest our tired legs from walking and discussed where we should go next. I know that our travel always lacks plan. :P Because we woke up early that day, we had a lot of spare time.

We exchanged some money and headed toward Xintiandi...
