Hotel Room Tour and Review - Hilton Fukuoka Sea Hawk in Fukuoka, Japan

Hilton Fukuoka Sea Hawk in Fukuoka, Japan

In the winter of 2022, my husband and I visited Japan and stayed at Sunshine City Prince Hotel, Conrad Tokyo, Hilton Tokyo and Hilton Fukuoka this time.

Hilton Fukuoka was one of the Hilton hotels we had always wanted to stay at. After arriving at Fukuoka airport, we took a taxi and headed to Hilton Fukuoka. The taxi ride took about 30 minutes, but time seemed to fly by as I enjoyed the city views along the way. When we arrived at the hotel, young female hotel staff helped us to unload our heavy luggage and escorted us to the hotel front desk. What surprised me about this hotel was that almost all of the staffs were young women in their early twenties. I had heard that Fukuoka City has a higher population of young females, and it seems to be true.

Hilton Fukuoka Christmas Tree

Since it was just before Christmas, a large tree was decorated in the hotel lobby.

4F Lobby

At the Hilton Fukuoka, we checked in at the lobby located on the fourth floor.

Although we initially booked the most budget-friendly room, my husband’s Hilton Honors Diamond status allowed us to receive an upgrade based on room availability. This time, we lucked out and were upgraded to an Executive Suite on the 33rd floor.

Some of the Perks of Hilton Honors Diamond Status

・A complimentary continental breakfast for you and up to one guest registered to the same room each day of your stay (This hotel's breakfast costs 3,600 yen per person, so our 7,200-yen meals were free. )
・Executive Floor Lounge Access (You can enjoy complimentary drinks and light meals there.)
・Space-available upgrade to a preferred room
・1,000 Hilton Honors Bonus Points per stay
・Premium Wi-Fi
・We received complimentary public bath entry tickets. The rock bathtub, situated on the 8th floor, was a delightful feature. These tickets, originally valued at 3,520 yen, were provided to us free of charge.

Executive Sweet King Room (50 to 70 ㎡ / 538 to 753 Sq ft)

When we walked into the room, we were pleasantly surprised by its spaciousness, and we realized that it was an Executive Suite.

Hilton Fukuoka Sea Hawk boasts ocean-view rooms throughout. In this room, there was a large window, allowing us to overlook Fukuoka Tower, Hakata Bay, and the beach (Momochi Seaside Park).

At night, we could enjoy the night view of Fukuoka City from our room. Fukuoka Tower was beautifully illuminated in blue.

The bed was King-size (200 cm x 200 cm), which provides ample space.

A curtain open/close button was installed on the bedside chest.

The drawer of the other bedside chest had two pairs of pajamas.

There was an air purifier beside the office desk.

We found a Nespresso coffee machine in the room, but unfortunately, there were only three Nespresso pods available for the two of us.
There were two complimentary bottles of water.

There were a mini-fridge, a tea set, and a lockbox underneath the TV.

Mini-fridge prices in hotels always surprise me. A can of Coke cost 500 yen, and a bottle of water was 500 yen as well.

There was a powder room where you could get ready.

You can have a seat and apply makeup here.

There were bath robes in the closet right side of the powder room, and on your left, there was bathroom.

The bathroom was nice and bright since it had large window.

There were Crabtree & Evelyn shampoo, conditioner, body wash, body lotion, facial soap bar, toothbrushes, rather, cotton balls, shower cap, hair comb, and skincares set for men and women.

Pola Hitotoki
This was a Pola Hitotoki (ひととき) travel skincare set. It included makeup remover, facial cleansing, lotion and emulsion.

Next to the toilet is the shower room. Having the shower room and bathtub separate is typical of the American style. Personally, I prefer the Japanese style where the washing area and bathtub are in the same room.

The bathtub was a jet bath, and it was nice and spacious.

There was a curtain open/close button on the wall. You can enjoy the view while taking a bath. The spacious area from the bathtub to the window allows for a relaxing spot to cool down if you get too warm in the bath.

There was the welcome gift bag on the table.

Inside the paper bag were Fukuoka’s famous confectioneries.

These were confectionery from Hakata Chocolate Shop.

I never expected to stay in an Executive Suite at Hilton Fukuoka, so it became a wonderful memory of Fukuoka. Although it showed some signs of age, overall, it was luxurious, and the view from the room was beautiful. I was thoroughly satisfied.

Since it was still bright when we checked in, we took a one-hour stroll at Seaside Momochi Beach Park, which we could see from our room. After the walk, we enjoyed a meal at the Executive Lounge.

Next time, I will write about Hilton Fukuoka Executive Lounge.
