Hotel Room Tour and Review – Caption by Hyatt Kabutocho Tokyo

Caption by Hyatt

As I mentioned in my previous entries, my husband and I visited Japan in spring 2026. After checking out of Conrad Tokyo, we moved to Caption by Hyatt Kabutocho Tokyo for a two‑night stay. The hotel is located in Kabutocho, within walking distance of Kokyo Gaien, one of the most popular running routes in Tokyo. We were planning to jog around the Imperial Palace area, so the location was perfect for us.

We originally booked this hotel purely for convenience, but we ended up loving it. The entire property is stylish, thoughtfully designed, and comfortable, with a modern atmosphere that feels both casual and refined. It turned out to be one of those pleasant surprises during our trip — a hotel chosen for practicality that became a place we genuinely enjoyed.

Caption by Hyatt Kabutocho Tokyo opened in October 2025, so everything still felt new and fresh during our stay. While checking in, guests can pick up amenities such as toothpaste, makeup remover, and basic skincare items at the front desk, which is convenient if you’re traveling light.

Because I’m a World of Hyatt Discoverist, the staff let me know I was eligible for a 2 pm late check‑out (regular check‑out is 11 am). This small perk made a big difference — it gave us plenty of time to relax and pack before heading to the airport on the final day of our trip.

I really liked their wall arts, which feature big floor numbers surrounded by detailed illustrations of Kabutocho’s streets and people, creating a warm and creative vibe throughout the hotel.

Twin Room (28㎡/301ft²)

Our room was Twin Room. The room was very new and clean, with a fresh, modern feel that made our stay comfortable from the moment we walked in.

There was a narrow but tall window, so we enjoyed a nice view of Tokyo throughout our stay. The small table, chair, and sofa in the room were surprisingly useful, and we often sat there to relax and enjoy the bread and snacks we bought from Takashimaya department store, which is conveniently located near the hotel.

Mini Bar

There was a mini bar cabinet, neatly arranged and easy to access, which made the space feel more thoughtfully designed.

There was a water pitcher and an ice bucket placed neatly on the cabinet counter, which made it easy for us to enjoy cold drinks in the room. Guests can refill water and get fresh ice from the dispenser located on the same floor, so it was convenient and practical during our stay.

Coffee mugs, glasses, and a selection of coffee and tea bags were neatly stored in the drawer, making it easy to prepare a drink in the room. There was also a small tray for used tea bags, which turned out to be surprisingly practical and kept everything tidy.

There was a red electric kettle in the corner of the cabinet, and we found ourselves using it many times during our stay. It was perfect for brewing coffee or tea whenever we wanted, and having it right in the room made our mornings and evenings feel more relaxed and convenient.

There were two pairs of slippers neatly placed in the upper drawer, ready for us to use. The slippers were fluffy and soft, and they felt very comfortable to walk in, making them a cozy touch that added to the overall comfort of the room.

There were two pairs of pajamas provided in the room, and they were oversized yet very stylish. I really liked them because they felt comfortable to wear and added a touch of design flair that matched the hotel’s modern atmosphere.

During a rainy day, the hotel provided free umbrella rentals at the front desk, which was such a thoughtful service. It made it easy for us to step outside without worrying about the weather, and we truly appreciated how convenient and guest‑friendly this small detail was.

Bathroom

The bathroom was also very new and clean, with a fresh and modern atmosphere that made it pleasant to use. Since amenities such as toothpaste and skincare products are available at the front desk rather than cluttering the bathroom, the space looked especially neat and well‑organized.

Apotheke

There were Apotheke bath gel and lotion provided in the bathroom, adding a touch of luxury to the stay. The products had a refined, modern feel, and using them made the experience more enjoyable, complementing the hotel’s clean and stylish atmosphere.

There was no bathtub, but I really liked the shower area. It was clean, modern, and the water pressure was strong enough to feel refreshing. The shampoo and conditioner were also from Apotheke, which added a stylish and high‑quality touch to the bathroom experience.

Apotheke

I really liked the wall arts in the bathroom as well. They added a stylish and unexpected touch to the space, making the bathroom feel more unique and thoughtfully designed. It was a pleasant surprise to see artwork even in such a practical area, and it gave the room a creative atmosphere beyond just being clean and modern.

Fitness Studio

The fitness studio is located on the 2nd floor of the hotel.

There was a water dispenser and towels available, which made it convenient to stay hydrated and fresh during workouts.

The fitness area itself was not very spacious and did not have a large number of exercise machines, but the equipment they did have was quite new and in good condition, making it a pleasant place for a short workout.

 Water and Ice Dispenser

Water and ice dispensers were conveniently located on each floor, which turned out to be very useful during our stay. We haven’t seen this service offered at any Japanese hotels so far, even though it is quite typical at most hotels in the U.S. This thoughtful feature made it easy to stay refreshed without having to leave the floor, and we really appreciated the convenience.

Next time, I will share my visit to the National Museum of Nature and Science (国立科学博物館) in Tokyo — a place I had been wanting to explore for a long time.
