Bayview Trail in Newport Beach, CA
      A few month ago, my husband and I decided to go hiking for the first time in a while. This time, we went to Bayview trail, which we found in the book, 50 Hikes in Orange County, which I purchased to enjoy Orange County hikes. 


 Tips for Walking on Bayview Trail.
・Apply sunscreen on entire body.
・Wear sunglasses and hat.
・Drink water often.
・You can bring your dogs.
・It's easy trail.

     It was very easy to find a parking space along the street, Bayview Way.

November 1st through February 28th : 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

March 1st through October 31st : 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

      We started walking on this trail around at 8 a.m. It was a beautiful sunny morning.

Upper Newport Bay Ecological Reserve

      You will see the Upper Newport Bay, a large coastal wetland in Newport Beach.

Upper Newport Bay


     You might see coyotes and bobcats around the Upper Newport Bay. By the way, the last time I saw a coyote was at the parking lot in my home in the middle of the night a few years ago.

Peter and Mary Muth Interpretive Center

       Because we arrived at Peter and Mary Muth Interpretive Center in the early morning, it was still closed. Next time, I would like to check out this place. 



 

     We really enjoyed walking on this trail. It's an easy 3-mile trail, so it took us only one hour and a half to finish it.
