Walking Along Shoreline in Long Beach, Los Angeles CA

Last weekend, my husband and I went to Long Beach to enjoy walking. As I mentioned in my previous entry, we used to participate Long Beach Walking Meetup every Sunday years ago. In those years, our Meetup group walked on this beach in early morning. Just like we used to do before, we walked from Rosie's Dog Beach to Long Beach Shoreline Marina. There are flat paths along shoreline, so it's very easy walking.

5000 E Ocean Blvd
Long Beach, CA 90803
U.S.A.

Parking
You can find free street parking spaces along Ocean Blvd pretty easily. We parked on East Ocean Blvd near the Rosie's Dog Beach. There are also some reasonable parking lots.

Tips for Walking on Long Beach Shoreline Pedestrian Path.

This time, we brought our cameras, Canon EOS Rebel SL1 with telephoto zoom lens, Canon EF-S 55-250mm IS STM and my iPhone to take photos.

After walking for 10 minutes or so, we stopped by Belmont Veterans Memorial Pier. Many people were fishing at this pier.

Shoreline Pedestrian Bike Path (Apple iPhone 7)
One of the reasons why I like walking on this beach is that there are separated lanes for pedestrians and bikers, so you feel safe while walking there. The right path is for pedestrians, and the left path is for bikers.

Shoreline Marina (Apple iPhone 7)
Then, we walked around Shoreline Marina.

We found that there were some small rays and a lot of fish in the water. We also saw a racoon around Shoreline Marina.

While we were going back to Rosie's Dog Park, I noticed that there wasn't enough street lamps. I wasn't comfortable to walk in the dark in Los Angeles. However, after sunset, we saw more dog walkers and joggers there.

It was a great walking! We really enjoyed beautiful ocean views and were glad that we  encountered a couple of dolphins while walking there! Obviously, this is one of the best place for walking, running and biking in LA area. :)
