Boeing Factory Tour - Traveling Seattle, Day 2 - 1/9

My husband and I purchased Boeing factory tour for $18 per person in advance and joined the tour on May 24. We booked the tour which would start at 9:30 a.m. The location was 25 miles north of Seattle, so it was very cold in early morning that day. We were glad that the parking lot was very close to the huge facility, so we arrived there earlier than we expected. As soon as we received our tickets, we rented a locker because personal items such as camera and smart phone were not allowed to be taken to the tour.

I guessed that there were about 80 people joined the tour at that time. After watching the introduction movie, people were divided into two groups, and each group got on a bus to move close to Boeing factory, which is the largest factory in the world. We walked into the factory and watched partly-assembled airplanes, Boeing 747, 777, and 787. Actually, the Boeing tour was more interesting than I expected because the tour guide of our group was extremely knowledgeable!

After 90 minutes of Boeing factory tour, we walked through the gift shop and went to the Future of Flight Exhibit. There was a free photo booth, where we could get photo taken. We checked our photo at kiosk and were able to send the photo to my email address.

We saw aircraft parts up close such as aviation engines and a cockpit there.

We were able to get inside and sit in the cockpit!

There was the observation deck upstairs. We were able to see the runway and many brand new airplanes.

Before leaving there, we purchased some souvenirs at the gift shop, which had so many Boeing merchandise.

Then, we headed toward Hiram M. Chittenden Locks.
