The Getty Villa - The Best Museum Around Los Angeles

Last weekend, my husband and I finally visited the Getty Villa Museum, which is located at the easterly end of the Malibu coast in Pacific Palisades, where is a neighborhood in the Westside region of Los Angeles. As I mentioned in my previous entry, The Getty Center, Beautiful Museum in Los Angeles, we had also visited the Getty Center five months ago.

The number of visitors is limited each day. It requires a timed-entry reservation

Because of the coronavirus pandemic, all visitors aged 12 and up are required to show proof of full vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours of your visit. Visitors may remove their masks when outdoors.

Pathway to The Getty Villa Museum
After parking at the Central Parking garage, we showed the tickets, our vaccination cards at the Entry Pavilion. Then, we headed toward the museum.

Outdoor Theater at The Getty Villa Museum
We arrived the museum at 10:30, and it was not crowded at all. Compared to the Getty Center, the Getty Villa Museum is not very huge. It took us a little over one hour to see all arts and gardens at this museum.

My husband told me that this theatrical mask of this fountain reminded him of the Mouth of Truth, we saw in Rome, Italy.
