Meeting Day

We have a meeting with my former classmates from two years ago once a month.
The purpose of it is to improve our English and to keep in touch with each other.
At our meeting, we enjoy lunch while we chat.

Today, our meeting was at  a Peruvian restaurant. I like Peruvian food even though I've never been to Peru.

I baked some chocolate cakes for our all members and brought baby gift for a member who is going to deliver a baby within two weeks.

Our member consists five people.
I'm going to introduce one of our members.

A Japanese gentleman who was the principal at an elementary school in Tokyo. He came three years ago to the U.S. because he and his wife wanted to help their daughter. She is married to an American man and has two boys. Before he came to the U.S., his daughter didn't have a job. So they were on a tight budget. She still relied on her parents' support. After they came to the U.S., she went to school for some medical qualification. Now she has a job at hospital. When she is out of the house, her parents take turn caring for her children.

Now, he is an ESL student. Two years ago, he started working on an English textbook for elementary students in Japan. His textbook is almost complete. He is going to Japan to publish it next year. I'm really impressed with his hard work.

I'll introduce the other members someday.
