Daiso Silicone Garlic Peeler - Does It Really Work?

Daiso Silicone Garlic Peeler
As I mentioned in my previous entry, 5 Products I Purchased at Daiso in the U.S. - Daiso Haul, I purchased this Daiso Silicone Garlic Peeler at my local Daiso because I had seen this product on Japanese TV show and also found that many Japanese people left positive reviews on this product.
Daiso Silicone Garlic Peeler

Daiso Silicone Garlic Peeler
It's made of silicone rubber. I also found that many companies are making silicone garlic peelers including OXO Good Grips Silicone Garlic Peeler, but I guess that Daiso one is the cheapest since it was only $1.50! (If you purchase this one in Japan, it's only 100 yen, which is equivalent to 91 cents now.)
Daiso Silicone Garlic Peeler
 How to Use
1.Break garlic apart, cut off the bottom and put in peeler.
2. Push down from above and roll.

I'll show you if it really works. ;)
Daiso Silicone Garlic Peeler
Insert garlic cloves into the silicone garlic peeler, and roll it back and forth on the countertop.

It really worked! My countertop was a bit messy after I used it, but it's easy to clean up. If you want to peel more than two garlic cloves, it's really worth using it. :) My husband loves this garlic peeler. He said that this was the best Daiso product we have ever purchased! Although my most favorite Daiso product is still Daiso Detergent Cleaning for Markup Brushes. ;)

5 Products I Purchased at Daiso in the U.S. - Daiso Haul

I think that most people will love Daiso, which is 100 yen store. You can buy almost any products for just 100 yen at Daiso in Japan. In the U.S., Daiso sells most their products for $1.50. As you might know, many of their products are worth more than price you pay. If you have never visited Daiso, you should go there. In Japan there are over 3,000 Daiso branches. In addition, Daiso has 1,992 branches in 26 countries outside Japan. There are also many Daiso branches in the U.S. especially in California.

Last week, I went to my local Daiso to get Daiso Milk Frother, but I couldn't find one there. Maybe, it's selling in Japan only. Some of their popular products can be only found in Japan such as my favorite Daiso Detergent Cleaning for Markup Brushes. Anyway, I went to Daiso for just a milk frother, but I ended up purchasing more products. I'm going to share what I purchased at Daiso in the U.S. with you. ;)
Daiso Haul

1. Daiso Melamine Sponges 30 Pieces (Magic Eraser)
Daiso Melamine Sponge (Magic Eraser)
As I mentioned in my previous entry, Top 10 Products You Should Buy at Daiso, Daiso magic eraser sponges are very good deal. This 30-piece magic eraser was only $1.50! I watched Japanese TV show which says their magic erasers are always the best selling Daiso products in Japan! I regularly use this one to clean sinks, cooktop and so on.

2. Daiso Coffee Filters 90 Filters
Daiso Coffee Filters 90 Filters
This Daiso Coffee Filter which contains 90 filters was only $1.50! It's pretty hard to find good coffee filters with this price in the U.S.! Moreover, this one is made in Japan which means that its quality is good! :)

3. Daiso Silicone Whisk
Daiso Silicone Whisk
I just wanted a silicon whisk. :) It was only $1.50! The reason why I love Daiso is that they have plenty of useful kitchen gadgets. ;)

4. Daiso Silicone Garlic Peeler
Daiso Silicone Garlic Peeler
I purchased this Daiso Silicone Garlic Peeler for $1.50. I saw this one on Japanese TV shows and many Japanese bloggers review on this product.
Daiso Silicone Garlic Peeler
I love garlic but am not good at peeling garlic. I hope that it will make peeling garlic easier for me. I will review on this product in my future entry. ;)

5.  Daiso Egg Cooking Timer
Daiso Egg Cooking Timer
I also found that many Japanese bloggers recommend this Daiso Egg Cooking Timer, which is also $1.50. Obviously, I can cook boiled eggs without this one, but it will be probably useful for me. I will try this one and review on it in my future entry. :)

You can order iced matcha green tea latte at Starbucks located in the U.S. (By the way, Starbucks Japan doesn't have this one for now.), and this latte also reminded me of Doutor iced matcha latte I had in Japan last year. :)

Sakura Uehara's Everyday Skincare Routine - Best Skincare Products Japanese Celebrity Loves

Yesterday, I watched this Sakura Uehara's Official YouTube video and thought that I should share her beauty tips with you through my blog! :)

Sakura Uehara is a Japanese celebrity. She is a TV star, actor and model. Last month, she graduated from a university and finally started her own YouTube channel and sharing her beauty tips! You might think that she looks like in her 20s, but actually she is 42 now! She has gorgeous skin. Everyone wants to know her secrets to younger looking skin. Some people might think that she is probably using extravagant beauty products, but she said that she doesn't use unique luxury products nor facial care equipment at all.

These are two most important tips for gorgeous skin.

1. No Rubbing Against Skin
She makes sure that nothing is rubbing against her skin, so she never gives herself facial massage.

2. Keep Your Skin Hydrated
While many people use a facial mask at night, she recommends apply a facial mask in the morning too.

Sakura Uehara's Everyday Skincare Routine After Cleansing

Use Facial Lotion Tissue to Pad Your Skin Dry Gently
As soon as she finishes cleansing her face, she uses facial lotion tissue to dry her face. She doesn't use a towel for her face. Just cover your face with two to three sheets of facial lotion tissue to pad your skin dry gently. She has been doing this for years.
As I mentioned in my previous entry, 3 Best Luxury Japanese Facial Tissue, Japan has very soft and smooth facial lotion tissue which contains moisturizing ingredients such as glycerine and sorbitol. Nepia Hana Celeb and Elleair Lotion Tissue are very popular in Japan and can be found drugstores in Japan.
Nepia Hana Celeb
Nepia Hana Celeb is very soft and has very cute packaging. I felt that Elleair Lotion Tissue was softer than Hana Celeb.

You can check out my previous entry related to Japanese facial lotion tissue.

Use Facial Masks Twice A Day
As soon as drying her face, she immediately apples facial mask to moisturize her skin. She uses Lululun Facial Mask Blue. She said that applying affordable facial masks twice a day is so much better than applying a small amount of expensive moisturizer. While wearing a facial mask for 15 minutes or so, she does household chores such as doing laundry.
Lululun Face Mask Blue

I love Lululun Precious Face Mask Green, anti-aging facial mask you can use everyday.
Lululun Precious Face Mask Green

I also likes morning facial mask such as Saborino, which is very popular 60-second all-in-one facial mask. It keeps my skin well hydrated all day long.   Lululun and Saborino facial masks can be found at drugstores in Japan.

Keep Moisture in Your Skin from Evaporating
After the facial mask, she applies facial cream or facial oil to keep moisture in her skin from evaporating. Now, she uses 24h Cosme Natural All-In-One Balm. 24h Cosme can be found at Plaza, Tokyu Hands and Loft in Japan.

How to Cook Bluefin Tuna and Tomato Pasta

Last week, I cooked tuna and tomato pasta for dinner because my husband's co-worker gave him fresh bluefin tuna fillets. He told me that his co-worker went fishing and caught a bluefin tuna!
