| Wall-To-Wall Carpet |
As I mentioned in
my previous entries, my husband and I started to install laminate flooring in our second bedroom in August 20.
We ordered an air compressor from Lowe's two weeks ago, and he went there to pick it up last Friday, but somehow it was missing. Lowe's staffs tried to find our order but couldn't find it even though the online status said it had arrived there. He waited for it there for an hour, and he eventually had to decide to get a refund from Lowe's. That's why we needed to start finding it over last Friday night. We found one at Walmart which is located a little far from our home, and we ordered it again anyway. Last Saturday, we went to the Walmart to pick up our item, but again it was missing. :( We finally decided to buy
a bigger one which was in the store.
We were going to start installing shoe molding last Saturday morning, but we finally did on Sunday.
He nailed shoe molding into the place with
the nail gun.
Then, he used
caulk to fill the gaps between the molding and baseboard.
We finally finished installing laminate flooring in our second bedroom! :) Last night, we finally moved some furniture into the room.
Our second bedroom will be our home office in the future. :) These furniture are very heavy, so we used
Cosco hand truck to move these easily.
We were impressed at
this hand truck! It's very light, steady, and works great! We purchased it at Costco three years ago, but we barely used it before. We were glad that we had it. :) If we hadn't had it, we couldn't have moved these heavy furniture.
We have been sleeping in our living room since we moved into this home. Until we finish installing laminate flooring in our master bedroom, this room will be a place to sleep. Tonight, we will finally move our bed into this room. :)
Our next big home renovation project is renovating our master bathroom! We will hire contractors for our master bathroom renovation, but we will do some of other projects ourselves at the same time.
