Ringer Hut Restaurant |
Ringer Hut is a Japanese restaurant chain and has more than 600 branches in Japan now. In Tokyo, there are 93 Ringer Hut restaurants, so you can find one pretty easily in Japan if you want to try one. :)
When I was a child, my families and relatives always ate out at Ringer Hut after visiting three shrines at New Year's. I still don't know why we always went to Ringer Hut every year. I guess that it's just because champon was affordable and everyone loved it regardless of age.

One of things I was surprised at this restaurant was that the restaurant employees such as a waiter and chef looked like foreign immigrants. I was impressed that foreign people cooked and served delicious Nagasaki cuisine. That day, I thought that Tokyo had changed a lot in ten years. It's not only new Tokyo Skytree but also so many foreign people traveling and working in Tokyo. (If you have been living in Tokyo for many years or know old days of Tokyo, I guess that you feel the same as I do.) However, cost of living in Japan hasn't changed much for over decades. Foods and apartment fee are as affordable as before.
That day, we got tired from walking for hours and hours. I walked over 20,000 steps that day! Next day, we decided to go to Muji Yurakucho, the largest Muji store in Tokyo. I'll write about my Japan travel day 5 next time. :)
