According to Wikipedia, Illinois is a leader in music education having hosted the Midwest Clinic: An International Band and Orchestra Conference since 1946, as well being home to the Illinois Music Educators Association (IMEA), one of the largest professional music educator's organizations in the country. I can't figure out what the ladder like picture is. (According to -J, it's Lewis & Clark Confluence Tower in Hartford!)

I was excited to find your blog post. I just purchased an Illinois mug this week and am trying to find a description online. I read on another site that the ladder like building is the Lewis & Clark Confluence Tower in Hartford, IL. I think the tall rocks by the river are the Mississippi Palisades State Park Sentinel Rock (or Lover's Leap & The Eagle Cliff Overlook At Starved Rock State Park). I thought that the building under "LLIN" in Illinois is a corn crib (Do a google search for "old Illinois corn crib" and select "images.") The building next to it might be a silo (?). Thanks for the insight on the guitar, too. I was confused.
